The Agriculture Village Marayoor, also known as rain shadow village is settled 40 km away from Munnar on the eastern side of the Western Ghats fenced by adjoining state Tamil Nadu. The temperature in summer can rise up to 30 degree Celsius while in winters it may drop as low as 8 degree Celsius.
